The study aimed to develop the content of science books for the preparatory stage according to the next generation of science standards. In order to identify the level of inclusion of the content of science books (the part on physics) for the comprehensive concepts dimension, the researcher relied on calculating frequencies, percentages, and their averages to include criteria and indicators for the comprehensive concepts dimension in science books for the preparatory stage. The study sample for the two semesters during the year 2021/2022, The researcher used the analytical descriptive research method in analyzing the content of books, where the collection and analysis of data relied on the content analysis card that was prepared in the light of the list of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) related to the dimension of comprehensive concepts, as it consisted of seven standards and 27 indicators, and the results concluded that After comprehensive concepts in the NGSS standards, the following total percentages were achieved: Patterns 13%, Cause and Effect 5%, Measurement and Quantity 34%, Systems and Models 14%, Energy and Matter 14%, Structure and Function 14%, Stability and Change 7%, and by presenting It is clear from the previous ratios that the preparatory stage science course needs to be reconsidered.
