researchers rights duties
Rights and duties of researchers:
• The University of Derna Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences is free to publish and does not charge any fees to researchers.
• The researcher must take into account originality and scientific methodology when writing his research.
• The researcher must submit a written declaration confirming that the research has not been published or submitted for publication in another journal.
• When writing scientific production, care must be taken not to mention the name of the researcher, or researchers, in the text explicitly, or with any indication that reveals his or their identity. Rather, the word (researcher, or researchers) is used instead of the name, whether in the text, documentation, or in the list of references.
• The editorial board has the right to initially examine the scientific production submitted for publication and decide whether it is eligible for arbitration or reject it.
• All scientific production submitted for publication in the journal is subject to an approved software program to detect any violations of intellectual property laws (plagiarism) to ensure its scientific integrity, provided that the percentage of plagiarism does not exceed 20%.
• The editorial board has the right to request any documents it deems necessary to complete the initial examination or arbitration process, including but not limited to: (statistical data analysis forms - questionnaire sheets completed by respondents - reports, etc.).
• If any violations of intellectual property laws are proven, the submitter of the scientific production will be permanently banned from publishing in the journal.
• The journal reserves the right to ask the author to delete or reformulate his research or any part of it in accordance with its publishing policy. The journal may make any formal amendments that are consistent with the nature of the journal.
• The journal will inform the researcher or researchers upon receipt of the research, its acceptance, or its non-acceptance for publication.
• If the researcher delays making the required amendments to the research for a period exceeding two months from the date of receiving the response from the journal, this will be considered a withdrawal from publication by the researcher, unless he provides a compelling excuse that is accepted by the journal’s editorial board.
• The research accepted for publication will be published according to the date of its final acceptance for publication, and a statement will be given to that effect.
• The copyright for the research is transferred to the University of Derna Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences when the author of the research is notified that his research has been accepted for publication.
• A researcher whose research has been rejected as a result of the referees’ opinions is not entitled to resubmit the same research, even if he makes all the required amendments.
• Determine whether the research is taken from a master’s thesis or a doctoral dissertation, clarify this in the margin of the title page, and document it fully.
• The researcher has the right to withdraw his research if the referees’ evaluation is delayed, provided that the editor-in-chief is informed of this and obtains his approval in this regard.
• The researcher has the right to view the evaluation and assessment results when his research is rejected.
