Abstract

This literature review examines developments in entrepreneurship research, synthesizing key theoretical concepts and empirical findings to provide a good understanding of this concept. Then moving on to schools of thought for entrepreneurship, such as neo-classical theory, and contemporary theories such as psychology and influence theory, highlighting the dynamic nature of entrepreneurship. The review also addresses scientific research methodologies in the field of entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the current paper discusses the factors that influence entrepreneurial success, such as institutional, regulatory, legal, and cultural factors on entrepreneurial activities. By evaluating existing research and highlighting gaps in the literature, this paper contributes to deepening the understanding of current trends in the field of entrepreneurship, and then suggesting future research in the field of entrepreneurship that may serve as a valuable resource for researchers, practitioners and policy makers interested in developments in the entrepreneurship landscape.
