التداعيات الاجتماعية والنفسية و الاقتصادية لإعصار دنيال على الأسرة النازحة: دراسة اجتماعية لعينة من الأسر الدرناوية

Abstract

The study aims to understand the social, psychological, and economic implications of Hurricane Daniel on displaced families from Derna to Benghazi, some of which have returned to Derna, and those that have moved to other areas within Derna. The study also explores the problems these families have faced, the challenges they encountered, and proposes some suggestions that decision-makers can benefit from. A random sample was selected from the records of affected Derna families held by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Benghazi. The study followed the descriptive approach, which is considered the most suitable method at present. Telephone interviews were conducted with the sample individuals, and the study reached several conclusions. One of them is that most families suffered from post-traumatic symptoms to varying degrees. Children were exposed to nightmares, disturbing dreams, and depression due to the loss of some family members, relatives, friends, and neighbors.
