Abstract

The study aims to identify the economic efficiency of chicken meat production farms in the private sector in Al Jabal Al Akhdar region, and the study followed the Quantitative approach .It was also shown from the results that the total production elasticities in the first and third categories are about (1.964, 1.418), respectively, and since they are positive and greater than the correct one, they reflect the relationship of increasing return to capacity, which means the positive impact of the expansion of the resource used for meat chicken production in the study area at the level Present. The results of the field study showed that the value of the marginal production of the resources involved in the production process is positive, and in general, the marginal productivity of these resources is considered low, which indicates problems of deteriorating productivity and production of broiler chickens in the study area. By measuring the productive economic efficiency of the feed quantity resource in the production of broiler chickens in all farm categories. In the study population, it was found that the value of the feed resource is positive and greater than one in the first and third categories and the study population as a whole, meaning that producers can increase their profits from broiler production by increasing the quantity of this variable until the value of its marginal productivity equals its opportunity cost. As for the farms of the second category, it was found that the economic efficiency of the feed quantity resource is positive and less than one. It is true that in order for producers to increase their profits, they must reduce their use of this resource By measuring the productive economic efficiency of the resource of the value of veterinary care in broiler production in all farm categories and in the study population, it was found that the value of the feed resource is positive and less than one is correct, meaning that producers can increase their profits from broiler production by reducing their use of this resource until the value of its marginal productivity equals its  alternative opportunity cost.
