The Aesthetics of the Old City of Tulkarm and the Impact of Urban Transformations on Visual Identity

Abstract

     The Old City in the centers of Palestinian cities is rich in a unique and diverse cultural heritage in artistic, aesthetic and functional forms that reflect an ancient civilization that still retains its most wonderful architectural and architectural details, reflecting the civilization and thought of the generations that built, lived and founded civilizations, the research aims to preserve this civilizational heritage, which is considered a mirror of their civilization and cultural heritage, and carries a thought and image that tells the current and future generations, and the research deals with the research through the analytical and theoretical method to raise the awareness of local community members and increase their knowledge In light of the emergence of problems plaguing city centers, visual distortion and the appearance of some buildings that are alien to the ocean, the process of documenting buildings with their shape, aesthetics and urban fabric is a civilizational necessity to sustain them and preserve their cultural form, and to inspire, participate and motivate future generations in preserving them, realizing civilizational and aesthetic values and activating urban life.
